2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Joey Logano, headlines New Hampshire Motor Speedway's new Infield Experience on Sunday, July 21 along with fellow New England racer, Ryan Preece. Both drivers will do separate 15-minute Q&A's in the infield hospitality area on the morning of the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301.
Logano, hailing from Middletown, Conn., is New England's first NASCAR Champion in the sport's most elite level, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. A two-time "Magic Mile" winner, Logano will be celebrating his 10th anniversary of his first ever Cup Series win, which came at NHMS in June 2009. He's also a multi-time winner in the K&N Pro Series East at NHMS, taking the checkers in back-to-back wins in his only rwo series starts in 2007. Logano can be seen each week in the top of the pack driving the No. 22 Team Penske Ford.
Growing up just 10 miles northwest as his neighbor from Berlin, Conn., Preece is most well-known for his local short track racing roots, but is quickly becoming well-known as the next Cup Series New England racer. In his first year as a full-timer in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, Preece is the driver of the No. 47 Chevrolet for JTG Daugherty Racing. Preece is famous for his NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour career winning the championship in 2013 and the Whelen Engineering All Star Shootout at "The Magic Mile" in 2017.
Both drivers will provide a free Q&A for fans who have purchased the new Infield Experience. Located just behind pit road, the Infield Experience offers fans the opportunity to enjoy the ultimate in hospitality while being right in the center of the action. This includes access to a private tent by the start/finish line, viewing areas in turn two and air-conditioned viewing in turn four, pre-race pit pass, breakfast, lunch and VIP parking.
Q&A times for Logano and Preece will be announced at a later date.
