Kyle Busch's chances at reaching 175 national series wins this weekend just got a lot better. The native of Las Vegas, Nev., laid down the fastest lap in group qualifying at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and will sit on the pole for Saturday afternoon's Overton's 200 XFINITY Series race.
Busch, who has 174 combined wins in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and XFINITY Series, will try to become the sixth straight XFINITY Series winner at NHMS to reach Sunoco Victory Lane from the pole position.
Busch is the reigning July XFINITY Series race winner at the 1.058-mile oval and has won five of the last eight XFINITY Series races at NHMS.
Brad Keselowski, Kyle Larson, Matt Tifft and Daniel Hemric round out the top-five qualifiers.
The Overton's 200 will drop the green flag on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
